Not sure what to say?

I am incredibly grateful to have been given my start in politics by my first real boss, Don Gilmer. Don taught me about the political pendulum and how to identify soy beans. Office life was especially nice with Lynn calling to see if her cutie pie husband was available. They just always adored each other. I will miss knowing his smile and good character are no longer inspiring others on this earth and wish Lynn and family peace in the days forward.

Don,
You were truly one of the great ones! Honesty, integrity, loyalty are just a few of the words I think best describe you!
It was a true honor to serve with you in both the House and the Engler Administration. It was my very good fortune that you took the time to meet with me during my first campaign!
Mentor and friend! You will be missed by many but always remembered by many as well.
God bless and grace you and your family
Bill Martin

I had the pleasure of working with Rep. Gilmer while he served in the State Legislature, and later when I served in the House and Senate. He was a dedicated public servant and a truly decent human being. RIP Don.

Don Gilmer was an advocate and supporter of FBR's educational efforts with the public charter elementary school academies. Mr. Gilmer served on the Arbor Academy School Board for over 12 years.
He further supported FBR's "job clubs" programs, which facilitated countless individuals in obtaining gainful employment to end their reliance on public assistance. Mr Gilmer's advocacy and support will be missed. Our sincere condolences to the Gilmer family. A donation in his memory has been made...

The Spathiphyllum Plant

I had the pleasure of getting to know Don in my Kellogg days as he served as State Rep. He was always a true gentlemen and did his job well. One specific while on Fl vacation I lost a golf club on the course never expecting to retrieve. Back in BC I get this call from him that he had brought the club back and would be getting it soon. This was an example of the Don Gilmer I got to know. Always a big smile.
My sympathy to the entire family.
