Donald B. Gordon of Hamden, passed away peacefully on Nov. 4, 2008 with his beloved wife Dorothy Schontag Gordon at his side. Donald was the son of the late John & Bernice Conroy Butterfass. He leaves two sisters, Deborah Butterfass of Hamden & Barbara Butterfass of St. Albans, Maine. At Don's request, his funeral will be private. Please take a moment and say a little prayer for this great husband, son, brother and friend to many. If one wishes, contributions in his memory may be made to: The Hospital of St. Raphael Foundation, or to it's Lung Life Program at the Hospital of St. Raphael, 1450 Chapel St., New Haven, CT 06511. Arrangements are in care of BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden.

Debbie, Barb, and Dorothy, I am SO very sorry to hear about Donald's passing. I know how vital he was to the family. I will always remember our shopping trips to Christmas Tree Shops, etc. and will always be grateful for the care and concern he always had for me and my boys. He always listenened with his heart and at the same time gave very sound, logical advice. Love to you all. He is now with all our loved ones who have gone "home" Love you, Pam

Dorothy, I was so saddened to hear about Don's passing this morning. He always made me laugh when I spent time with him. I know that my folks are deeply saddened by the loss. As a child, I remember many gatherings together with you and Don and how much fun we would always have. My condolencences to you and your family. I will miss him.
