Donald E. Gritzner

One of the many jobs Donnie held was bus driver. I rode his bus for years, up and down some of Hawley´s most treacherous hills. He was a lot of fun, and always indulged us kids with hitting the bumps just right to send us off our back of the bus seats. It probably would be frowned upon by parents and employers, but we loved him and still remember those rides over 40 years later! Rest in peace, Donnie!

Donnie would prefer to be remembered as Donnie, I am sure, as everyone called him. He was proud of the work he did and as the mother of his children I would like to give him the credit due him for our days together in the restaurant business and for helping me out when I was destitute in Alaska. Also for our two children Robert and Adam and offer my condolences to them. May Donnie find peace in his eternal home.
