Chris & family

You have our family's sympathy for your loss. Obviously it's been many years since I saw Don but I always enjoyed your children - even the guitar lessons at your house!

Save us all a seat Don!

My deepest sympathy to the family and to Sherry. I hadn't seen Don for years, I was a bartender at Pilla's , when I left and opened my own place he came down to wish me the best! He was always nice to me, he gave me two clay ducks that still sit on my window seal. He will be missed by many.

Such sad news! My deepest sympathy to Sherry and entire Grone families. Don was one of a kind. Don had such verve and style. I’ll always remember Don as a most charming gentleman. Don’s antics on the dance floor, always amusing and doing so with a chuckle.

We’ll miss him, too.

Condolences to you and yours.

Dear Grone family,

Don has been a special gift for Sherry these last 4 years and she for him we could tell. Where there is love there is God, and God was clearly revealed in the joy and laughter and unconditional love they had for each other.
We pray with gratitude for Don and that you may be consoled with hope and faith in God who has promised that the best is yet to come!

Sherry & Family,

We only knew Don through the dance club but he always seemed like a very upstanding guy. We always enjoyed talking and laughing with him. He was definitely one of the good guys. The dance clubs are like a huge family and Don was a part of our family. We will miss him. Please know that our hearts and thoughts are with you in this time of grief.

God bless you Don say hi to Jeff for me. Mike Jordan

My relatives in St. Louis still remember Don from many years ago when I introduced him to my family. I was shocked and saddened when my cousin called this morning to share the news of his passing, and I want to extend my deepest sympathy to all of you. I will never forget the kindness and hospitality your family showed me when I fell ill while attending college, or the many happy memories of times spent in your company. Don was, without a doubt, a character, whose presence never failed to...
