Donald A. Hackbarth Sr.

I regret that I did not see this obituary until Sunday. I would have attended the memorial.
Mr. Hackbarth was an outstanding man of faith. He had a wonderful family. I always looked forward to my visits with him. I was never disappointed. Lots of interesting insights.

My deepest sympathies to Doreen, Don, and Opal. In the short time I knew Don, I came to appreciate his dry wit, knowledge, and perseverance in working to get well despite dealing with declining health. I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to know him. May he rest in peace.

It is with great sadness that I read the death of Donald, beloved father of one of the finest members of my Medical College of Wisconsin classmates, Dr. Donald Hackbarth. I revere the quality of person his son is as I knew him and know the parents were instrumental in his character formation and development as a outstanding person.

Eternal Rest Grant Unto Him, Oh Lord...
