I fondly recall helping then Mr. Halstead in his campaign when he was first elected judge in the late 1970s. I was a student at Hackett High School, and someone asked me if I'd help. I don't recall who asked, but I clearly recall stuffing envelopes in a garage on a crisp, sunny day. It's a good, clear memory. I'm sorry for the family's loss, and happy to see Judge Halstead was able to fulfill so many of his life's dreams.

We grew up together in Detroit on Hickory . I just read of his passing in the Fall issue of the U of Detroit issue Spiritus magazine. He was a part of the Hickory Nuts touch? football played in the street. Also, drove his hydroplane Lake St Clair. What great memories. Condolences to Andrea and family.Godspeed Donald.

Andrea and Family,
So sad to hear of your loving husband and father's passing. He was an honorable, kind man and will be profoundly missed. Andrea, you were such a wonderful friend to my mom, Betty. I will never forget you and will keep you in my heart and prayers. With love and sympathy,
Mary V.

Im very sorry to hear of Dons passing.
I remember the young couple who moved into Oakwood Subdivision and how my parents became friends and thought the world of them. I remember Dons great sense of humor.
May you all find peace at this time.
