Donald Gene "Don" Hammonds

Don was loved by many. Hoping you find Peace and comfort in the days ahead as you adjust your life with his loss.

I never met Don. I only knew him from his many kind comments on my Facebook page, Traces of Texas. My heart goes out to his family. Prayers and peace to them.

I can't say in words what I am feeling. I just know my whole being is trying to come to terms with this loss. Don held and calmed my 8 day old, fussy, first grand-baby. Just the way he held him, as if he was one of his own. To know Don is to know that you are loved. Oh, my family, I am praying that God will give us an enormous amount of comfort and peace!!!!

Don will be missed by so many. His love of Texas history and the military touched us almost every day via Facebook. His friends from Tahoka will never forget him.
