We sign this book to honor an admirable man, devoted to his family, and a trustworthy friend. Our father, Henry Orzechowski, shared many adventures with him, hunting and fishing. Our mother, Florence, often cared for his children as youngsters, enjoyed their spirit, and was very fond of the Hansler family. The world could use more like him. You will be missed, Don.
Sincerely,
Guy Orzechowski

I lost my father to Parkinson's Disease almost 3 years ago. I am still visited by his memories; welcoming and treasuring each one. It must be a comfort for you to know that finally, Don will be able to rest peacefully. Try to remember that you, your family and friends, as well as we, his former students will always have our memories of Don, and they will keep his spirit alive in all of our hearts forever.
Mr Hansler was my biology teacher at SHS. Biology wasn't my favorite subject, but Mr Hansler was a favorite teacher. He was a great teacher. He made subjects interesting. In fact, of all the teachers I ever had, he is in the top 3. I was impressed, with his health issues, that he was at our 55th reunion. I loved seeing him again. I couldn't believe how he knew us all as though it was yesterday. He was truly a special man.
Grief is hard and it takes time, but gradually it will lessen and get easier for you. As the days and weeks pass, and as you gradually return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of your family and friends. You are stronger than you believe! Trust in God, for He will watch over you always.

I first met Mr. Hansler at Bellevue High School in biology class. Two years later I was honored when he asked me to draw up some plans for the new house he was building. We had a nice visit at a Sammamish High School reunion. I remember him fondly.

Marge and family, I was sorry to read about Don this morning. I know he had a full life with a wonderful wife and loving family. We were all blessed to have him in our lives, in one way or another. With sympathy and love, Jan Lund Buchanan, BHS Class of 1961
