Not sure what to say?

Hawk, I'm so sorry I missed saying goodbye but enjoy your new home. I'll always keep you in my heart. Hugges and Kisses Pamela Smith working with him for three years for The Cleveland National Air Show. Love Ya HAWK''''

Great Uncle Donald will always hold a fond and dear place in my heart, life and memory. I always thought of him as the grandfather or older man in my life I never had. May his wonderfully kind, gentle and humorous spirit live on.

My dear Uncle Donald brings back many memories, especially from childhood. Uncle Don would rather play with the kids than hang out with the adults. He knew how to have fun and was a real joy to be around. However, what I will never forget about him was the time I announced to my mom and dad that I was leaving Cleveland, in my new VW bus (which I got by trading in my dad's high school graduation gift--his old Ford Galaxy--dad was furious)and I was headed to California. Donald Hawkins was a dear friend and brother-in-law. Knowing him for 59 years was an honor and privilege. He will be sorely missed.

WE ARE OLD FRIENDS FROM THE PAST
HE WAS A GREAT PERSON. HE WAS
THOUGHT OF OFTEN, HE WILL BE
MISSED.

Uncle Donald was a great guy. He was the kind of guy that always had a smile on his face and made you feel good and laugh when he was around. I will never forget when he and my Dad painted the family station wagon green with left over house paint or the excitement he put into me when he taught me how to tune up a car when I was 12.
Don you will be missed.

Great Uncle Donald will be missed. I am very saddened to hear of his passing. But a smile and a laugh always come pretty quick when I remember all the fun times I had with him... Driving mopeds, steering the car, swimming at the pool, our fun lunches at Big Boy's when he would get Dawn and I from grandmas. Just spending time with him was always exciting! There is no one else like him, and there will never be. What a special man!
