Not sure what to say?

Out of nowhere just thought about you yesterday. Missing you dearly and your gift of chocolates (usually snickers)! Rest In Peace my dear boss!

Hawk! Still in my thoughts. Seeing your devious smile as I type. That spark in your eyes.

When working next doors on Sunday, Don was always there giving me the updates on the Bears game. Don friendly talks about life and sports will be missed when we passed each other while walking our dogs.

Hawk had the warmest smile and natural laugh. Every day at NMH I made sure that I said or did something to get him to giggle cause it always made my day in a special way. He was a giving, caring man who love his family first and foremost and was very proud of them. I lost track of him when I left the hospital and got excited recently cause I found him on Facebook. We lost a good man.

At a time like this there is so little words can say. The memory of Don will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. As a MICU nurse at NMH, Don was an outstanding and compassionate respiratory therapist. I still can see his smiling face.
My deepest condolences

Deepest sympathy and prayers for the Hawk and his family. I had the privilege of knowing Don in his Hawg (yes Gonzaga at Loyola)days! ... And what a great gifted person with an abundance of that cheer I read about in this guest book. Condolences to all - Vik Petroliunas

My deepest condolences to the entire family. I worked with Don at NMH and had crossed paths at Thorek Hospital for the last 6 years. Always with a smile on his face and kind words for all. Will miss him and my prayers are with all to embrace all the pleasant memories. ..."

My deepest condolences to the Hawkinson family. I met with Don on numerous occasions through the Illinois Purchasing Collaborative, his knowledge and enthusiasm will be greatly missed. He was truly a nice man.
