Not sure what to say?

Thank you to the Hedlers for being such great friends to our parents Jean and Casey Packard who have both passed on. We hope they are all in heaven enjoying a game of horseshoes !!! Our mother Jean Packard on her death bed was singing the song Delores and another sang in high school and made a record ! I will never forget going to Jakes store in Colby with my GrandmavAurelia Blanchard-,such a great store as today I look back and think of Mayberry !!! The memories our parents have shared with...

My memories of Jake go back many years. Jake was a customer of mine at the old Security State Bank. He was always a pleasure to work with. We also shared several snowmobile outings. It was always a great time spending time with Jake and family. God speed. May there always be fresh powder and newly groomed trails!

I had the good fortune to have Jake hire me at the old store in 1972. The year plus I was there was the best education in customer relations I've ever had and has benefited me my whole life. Thanks Jake. Morning!

I remember my mother (Franziska Elpert/Beaver) talking fondly of Jake during my childhood, considering him a good friend and a wonderful human being. She always said Jake had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need with food or a kind word. There are not a good many people in this world that will be remembered with kind words but Jake will be. Rest in peace, good friend.

I grew up in Colby and shopping at Hedler's was always something I looked forward to when I came back to visit. Jake was such a warm, welcoming presence. I will keep his family in my prayers.
