My wife and I met Don and his wife over dinner at an IEEE meeting several years ago.
It was immediately apparent that they were genuine people and were open to new friends. Don and I stayed in touch at many IEEE events after that.

I first knew Don as a colleague when we worked together on industry EMC issues and USNC IEC matters 20 years ago. Don was a true professional, an accomplished expert in his field, and completely dedicated to any task he took on. He was one of a handful of people I was proud to learn from and emulate. You are leaving a large hole, Don. But you trained a lot of others by example who now are following in your footsteps. Rest In Peace!
