H.M. Patterson & Son-Spring Hill Chapel Obituary

Behind his mild-mannered tax attorney exterior, Donald "Don" P. Hensel had an irreverent sense of humor that unfailingly found the absurd in every day events. He lived a life of amazing accomplishment in his unexpectedly short life, managing to reach the highest levels of success in every...

Not sure what to say?

Dear Wendy, Grace and Luke,

I just heard today of Don's passing. I can't comprehend the depth of your grief. I am so very sorry for your great loss.

I had the distinct honor of working with Don on a number of deals over the past 10 years. Most of our contact was over the phone but I always felt a warmth in our dealings that simply didn't exist in a normal business relationshp. It didn't take me long to come to the conclusion that this warmth this kindness was just...

Dear Wendy
I am Sharon Bellinger (Kristal Bellinger Grossi) mother. I saw your parents shopping yesterday and was very sadden to hear of Don's death. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
I know the children are a wonderful refection of both you and Don. Don's love will continue to guide and direct you and the children. I am so sorry for your loss. Big hug!

To Don’s family, I had the pleasure of working with Don at Camp Thunderbird for a number of years. In fact he was the last cabin co-counselor I ever worked with. Don was a type person that I could sit here the rest of the day and try and think up something bad to say about him and could not come up with a thing to say. He was one of a kind and one of the nicest people I have ever known. This world was a better place with Don in it.

Pam and Barry,
We just learned of Don's passing today. As parents, we cannot process the idea of losing a son and are saddened for you. Our memory is of a special and beautiful day---when Don & Wendy were married. You both were beaming. Words from us cannot begin to ease the pain but please know, we do care.

Annie Hellen and I are grieved by the loss of this wonderful young man. We remember your beautiful family from St. Sebastian's. Don was such a bright, talented kid!

Dr. Hensel and family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My husband Bruce Apple talked so very highly of you, not just while in school, but for years after graduation. Bruce passed away 3 weeks ago, and life for me is very different now. I again, am very sorry for your loss.
