Read MoreI remember Don so well from the 80s. Our children were of the same age and joined in our lives for several years. Such a loss. I remember him fondly, a kind man, happy father. It's a shame life removes you from past friendships. Rest well.

Though death can steal your loved one, it can never steal your love. Don lives in your hearts and he lives in your memories. May you hold fast those memories and they will help you to deal with this great loss. Life is so short and those we love are gone from our lives too quickly. God's promise to empty the grave in the near future is found at Hosea 13:14. May the God of loyal love comfort you during your time of sorrow.
