My condolences to the Hinkle family. I had spent time with the family in the 1970s and enjoyed many happy times through church and family outings. Shirley, I am sorry about your Dad's passing. He had a great and rewarding life, with great children.

I am related to Don through marriage. In July of 1969 I met him, his wife, and children and from there on out they were my family.

Don and Erin and the whole Hinkle family. We were saddened to read about the passing "corner stone" of the Hinkle family. Don we didn't know your dad, but you can tell by a person's upbringing that you came from good stock.
Don and Erin, we kind of lost track of you over the years since you moved out of California and we moved 10 miles and had to give up our phone number we had for forty years. If time allows, give us a call. We would like to here from you.

I knew Don just casually from the IBFD & F-33 union meetings. We had some occassions working with Don as IB was closing & North Island was assuming command. As with most WW2 vets Don never spoke of his sacrifices in war. He provided safety to our military crews & airman at IB. He had 2 honorable careers he was a true HERO. My sympathies to his family & loved ones.

Our sincerest condolences to LaRayne and the entire Hinkle family in their loss of a very loved and admired husband, father, grandfather - and great-grandfather. I personally treasure all the wonderful memories I have of growing up with the Hinkle's and being welcomed as one of the family. Both Mr. & Mrs. Hinkle always set such a wonderful and loving example of what a Christian family should be. God Bless the entire family always, but especially at this time. May they always cherish the...
