Donald C. Hoen

I was Don's Executive Chef for 2 yrs what a wonderful kind man .

Unfortunately I had little contact with Don since we played football at Loyola. Nevertheless, his spirit was such that no one who knew him will ever forget him.

Chris and the Hoen Family, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

The Hoen family members have been life time family friends. In fact, I was born in the same hospital room a day apart from Don. We all grew up together in a child's paradise know as Fork. I have treasured our friendships over these 61 years and will pray for your family in this difficult time.

Don and I were best friends for 48 years and his loss is difficult for me but pales in comparrison to that of Ralph, Alice, Lee, Susan, Chris & Jennifer. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.
We did an awfull lot together over all those years and I cheerish those memories.

I only came in contact with Mr. Hoen through governmental functions but he was always a gentleman. May he be in peace now.

Dear Jennifer and Christopher,
My heart goes out to you and your families on yet another huge loss of a parent and your childrens' grandparent. I still miss Marge so much and pray for her daily and now I'll add Don to my ever-growing list of friends whose lives were cut way too short. Trust God's plan and find joy in all your good memories and peace in knowing they couldn't have asked for better kids . God bless.

In my life the contests that I remember most took place while playing football for Loyola and fighting in Vietnam. I can count on one hand those who both inspired me and whom I admired and will never forget. Don was one of them. He never gave up. My condolences to those near and dear to him.
