Not sure what to say?

Mr. Holden was my 10th grade English teacher at Piner High School in 1988-89. I was thinking of him today and when I googled him, I found this page. He was so kind, compassionate and encouraging and just the most wonderful teacher. He helped write one of my letters of recommendation for college. He took the time to see you as a person and help you. I remember a specific incident that occurred in his class that I'll never forget. One day I arrived in class and the seat next to me was empty. ...

Don and Beth attended my wedding. He was my 10th English teacher. I randomly ran into him with my fiancé in Sausalito and had the chance to reconnect, see his boat and hear about this children. I´m sorry about his passing and he always spoke about Beth, his children and love for sailing.

Thinking of you all. Ron & Joy Seaman

Don & Beth have been our neighbors for 40+years & we actually became acquainted with them when their amazingly sweet & kind daughter, Jeannie, began babysitting our children when Jeannie was 14 years old. Don was a genuinely good man; it is reflected in the children he raised! We will miss seeing Don & Beth walk our hill together & wish Beth, Jeannie, Peggy, Michael and their children comfort & peace at this time.
Love, Ron & Joy Seaman

My condolences to the loss of Mr. Holden. He taught my English class in my senior year of high school at piner in 1984. I learned a lot from his advice and I'll never forget the 10 page term paper we all had to write for a final grade. Many prayers to your family. Ragen Kough Mandell

Sending lots of love to the Holden family. Don leaves a wonderful legacy - his beautiful family - which speaks volumes about the amazing man he was.

A great guy who married the nicest lady !

I'm very sad to learn of Mr. Holden's passing. He was my 9th grade English teacher at Piner. He introduced me to the Odyssey by Homer. I have read and re-read this book through out my life, and I remember his passion in the writing and desire to impart that passion on his students. You were a great teacher Mr. Holden, God Speed.
