Not sure what to say?

Thank you for allowing me to care for your dad. It was an honor and privilege to get to know your family. With deepest sympathy.

I have had the pleasure to work for Don, I am so sad to hear of his passing. I got used to calling him Grandpa and his wife, Grace, Grandma. I loved both dearly. I will always appreciate and be grateful of the time I was with them and the gifts they’ve got me always so thoughtful. Words can’t say how much I’ll miss you grandpa. May you rest in peace with grandma. I am sorry for your loss Sue, Donna, Janice.

I can't say enough about how wonderful Mr. Hooton was to everyone. He was a substitute teacher in my high school years and eventually taught all of my children how to swim. He was patient, kind and firm when necessary. My family sends condolences to his family and friends.

My thirty-three years in banking began at Holyoke National Bank which became Old Colony Bank/Bank of Boston, Over those years, I have been fortunate to have worked with many wonderful people. Donald stands out as a most memorable man. I recall him as being very private but always dedicated to his work and music. Many of his co-workers were unaware of his dedication to music. He would often spend his lunchtime at the neighboring Second Congregational Church to practice and refine his...

I was on the American Guild of Organists Spfld Chapter Board when Don was Dean. Also we traveled together for an Organ Crawl to the Albany/Troy NY area and got to know each other better. He was a lovely man and his contribution to our organ world will not be forgotten.

Donald was my boss at Old Colony Bank in Holyoke. Always a very pleasant, soft spoken man I truly liked working with. I've wondered what Donald was doing, from time to time. We had more in common than I realized. It turns out I also received an education degree also from Westfield State College, and taught. I also had a bachelors degree in music (& toured New England for 10 years, full time playing music). Wish I could have told him that. I trust Donald had a very full and happy life, and...

Condolences to Donald´s family and friends. I worked with Donald at New North Community School. It was a pleasure to work with him, always so kind! May he rest in peace.

Eternal rest grant unto Don O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him, and may the souls of Don and the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen

The the family of Don and those who loved him, our prayers and deepest sympathy.
