Not sure what to say?

To the Huelsmeyer family: My condolences. I must tell this story one more time: In the early 60s I was a stuggling young teacher and the Huelsmeyers let us have groceries on credit, AND THEY DELIVERED! One day my wife was in bed with our first child and Don brought the groceries into the kitchen. She told him where to put things, and he put them all away. She told this story until her death in 2006, stressing what a nice man he was.We actually never saw Don again, but over the years he lived...

Deepest Sympathy to the entre Hueslmeyer Family.

I just saw on You GrewUp in Quincy Il website of Mr. Huelsmeyers passing. A picture of the market was the memory of the day. I went to school with Linda and Lisa at QND. Your family will be in my thoughts.

Lisa, Linda, Mark and Margaret my heart goes out to you. I will always have years of memories growing up with your family-tennis at Reservior park, softball at the college, teaching the kids to swim. I Love you all for always being there for Sharon and me

I have many fond memories of the market and of the people who worked there. They were angels to our family and I am convinced without them we would not have survived. May God bless you all.

I grew up across the street from the store and Don was such a wonderful man to us kids. I have such good thoughts of him in my head and my heart. I am so glad I got to know this man and I will remember how good this man was until I get to meet him and Thank him when I see him in heaven.

Sorry to hear this sad news. When I was a little girl many many years ago my mom would send me to Huelsmeyers Market on 12th Ohio. Your dad was always good to us. May he Rest in Peace in Gods arms!
