Not sure what to say?

Don was good friends with my parents, Jerry and Lois Stein, in Hessel. They shared a love of boating - Mom and Dad kept their sailboat anchored off the shore near the marina where Don docked his boat in the summer. My son, Jacob, and I met Don in our visits with my parents. Mom often invited Don to dinner when we were in town, as Don enjoyed seeing us and was incredibly kind to Jacob. Dad often helped him move his boat from Mackinaw City to Hessel each summer. His wife, Ann, was a good friend...

Thank you for your service Sir

I met Don when I went to work at IBM in 1962 at age 20. I was the secretary to the branch manager of the ET Division and Don was one of the sales reps. He and another rep (John Leslie) were good friends and used to take me to lunch once in awhile in appreciation. They were always my favorites. Don and his wife attended my wedding in 1963. I will always remember him as being kind and considerate and patient with a 20-year old. And he was always so much fun. Good memories!

Jeff and Diana, Our sympathy on the passing of your dad. What a wonderful life he and your mother Lived. May he "rest in peace" ! ! Sincerely, Vern and Lynda Pagel

My Uncle was in the Navy WW 11 . Told a lot of Stories. Want to thank you for your Service ! I Salute you Sir ! Sue Willard Gr. Mich.

What a beautiful tribute to your dad/grandfather. A life very well lived. God bless you all as you carry on in his honor.

Our families traveled together every summer on our boats. Our parents were best friends and I was lucky enough to call this sweet man my second father. He brought light to everyone he met. I will cherish my memories of him forever. I am sure he is sailing off in the sunset somewhere lovely.

Rest in peace, uncle Don and thank you for your service.
