HUGHES, Donald C. - Of Mt. Morris, age 66, died Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Visitation 12PM-8PM Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Burial in Annie E. Young Cemetery, Pikeville, Kentucky. Donald was born in Hazard, Kentucky on April 5, 1942 and was a resident of Flint most of his life. Mr. Hughes was employed by General Motors for 34 years, retiring in 1995. Surviving are nieces, Samantha (Sammy) Bice and her children, Alexander, Kassandra and Rachelle; Catherine (Dan) Chandler and children, Mackenzie and Madison; Denise (Damond) Bartsoff; nephews, David Willard Jr. and Timmy Baker; and many other nieces and nephews; 2 sisters, Norma Napier and Glema Allmeyer; brother, Carlos Hixson; 3 sisters-in-law, Montana Vanover, Ann Willard and Betty Nester; 3 brothers-in-law, Gill Baker, Melvin Baker and George Baker; special friends, Jerry Sanders and Carl Bair. I so sorry to hear about the passing of the only dad i ever new. even tho he was my stepdad, Don was a great dad. i will miss him.
