Not sure what to say?

I just heard this news and am so very sorry to hear. I send my condolences and warm wishes to his family. Although we never met in person, I felt that he was a very fine person.

Matthew and I will be sad to not run into you and Dr Innes at random downtown restaurants. It was always nice to see your smiles about town. Wishing you ease in your grieving, and we hope to see you again one day.

The world has lost a kind, dear man. Chuck and Don were members of a great pathology residency group, such a convivial and dedicated band of young doctors. Allison, you and Don were always the best of partners, so loving and supportive. Hillary, you lost a gentle and always-present father. We send our sympathy to you two and all the family. Chuck and Linda Mills

Dear Allison and Hillary I was so very sorry to hear about Don´s passing. He was always so kind and thoughtful and never without a greeting and warm smile. My thoughts and prayers are with you both. God bless you always. - Alane

Dear Allison- Don was a wonderful teacher and mentor. He was intelligent, kind physician and a such a strong advocate for education. I´m thankful that I was able to learn from him and work with him as a student and faculty member.

David Brooks (The Second Mountain, 2019) wrote: "Every so often, you meet people who radiate joy - who seem to know why they were put on earth, who flow with a kind of inner light... They want things that are truly worth wanting. They embrace a life of interdependence, not independence. They surrender to a life of commitment." Don was such a person in his love for Allison and Hillary, in his passion for medical education, in his commitment to the flourishing of his students, residents and...

Dear Allison and Family, We are so sorry to hear of Don's passing. He was an outstanding pathologist and person. He touched many lives in very positive ways. You all are in our thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sorry to hear of Don's passing. May his memory be for a blessing. He was a wonderful friend and neighbor and father to Hillary.

Dear Allison, My prayers and thoughts go out to you in Don's passing. He brought so much to so many people. And he certainly helped me get my footing in student education years ago. Best wishes, Gene
