Hello Camy. I was just reading old entries in "Slow Bell"s log book and came across one from Friday, 20 May. 2005. I was anchored out alone that late afternoon with an inoperable dinghy motor so couldn't go to the yscht club for social hour. And then came "No Whining" with you and Don to raft alonside and "save the day". We had a great time with Jimmy Buffet and Boat Drinks!. Of all the fond memories of Shell Island and the gang, this always remained one of my favorites. We miss him and...

Camy, our heartfelt sympathy for your loss. Don was a great mentor and friend. I miss the times we spent together in the Air Force and later in retirement. May he rest in peace.

Mrs. Joyner,
I am very sorry for you and your family's loss. I very much enjoyed the time I had meeting you and Colonel Joyner, although, I wish it was under circumstances. He was a fighter! I enjoyed his hunting and air force stories very much! I know he will be missed very much but never forgotten. I am glad he will be given full military honors in Arlington, I am sure it will be a beautiful ceremony. I plan to be in D.C. in upcoming months, I will be sure to go and pay my respects. My...

Dear Mrs. Joyner:
You and I and your Husband never met, although we were in England at the same time, and our Daughters became fast friends forever at their elementary school. My daughter, Ashley, sent me notice of your loss, and I am obliged to respond in respect for Dee's friendship with Ashley these many years (since 1978), and sincere appreciation for Don's service, paralleling my own, in SAC, nearly concurrently (I'm somewhat older).
I'll play and listen to HIGH FLIGHT in his...

Camy, you and your family are in my prayers. Knowing you and Don has been a joy and privilege. Your home was the first Holy Communion service I ever officiated in my journey to becoming a Deacon and I will always remember Don and your kindness and hospitality. May Almighty God welcome Don as his faithful son, Jesus welcome him as His brother, and the Holy Spirit bring you peace and consolation. Amen.
