Not sure what to say?

I met Don when Nakoma Resort was looking for a pianist for a Valentine's Dinner party around 2014. I had the pleasure of booking him to come play for a number of Valentine's Day and NYE parties to the absolute delight of all. There wasn't a request he couldn't fulfill and many times someone from the party would get up and sing with him. He was funny, kind, tender-hearted and one heck-of-a master on those ivory keys. Rest in peace Don, we're all richer for having crossed your path.

Don was my scoutmaster and head of the Kahn clan across the street from the Souza tribe on Kentwood Drive. He was quick with a joke and really could give a piano a workout. I remember when he bought his Mercedes 450SL and I thought that suited him, he lived large. Thoughts to all the Kahn kids. Lot's of great memories of those days!

I was one of Don Kahn Boy Scouts from the mid 60's at the Old Mission Troop 6. In the early 70's I was a Assistant Scout Master at Troop 6 under Scout Master Don Kahn. I took the scouts on camp out and High Sierra back packing trip. Bill McNamara

What an extraordinary tribute to a truly remarkable man :”) Your precious father/grandfather was one of a kind! Unforgettable and he truly lived while here on Earth. I know he will be sorely missed ~ but the love you all shared together will never die. I love you all so very much ❤ Sending comfort, courage, healing, peace and the celebration of countless happy memories ~ xxXx

Thanks for the memories Mr. Don, part of our family for many years. Great times with our Saturday am piano lessons and our Scouting adventures. Love always from the Ray family, you are all in our prayers!! Semper Fi

My husband Bill worked with Don in the early 1960's at what was then the Department of Highways in SLO. Bill, Don, Barbara and I became fast friends and we spent a lot of time enjoying each other's company. They always had an open door for their many friends, and their home was always a warm and lively place. Of particular fun was Christmas and seemingly endless eggnog, and their annual St. Patrick's Day celebrations... always with green beer and anything else that could be tinted green. ...

What a beautiful tribute! I worked for Don at Kahn & Associates while in college, and have many fun, crazy, and fond memories of him. Always the natural teacher, he taught me a lot. On St. Patrick's Day in particular, he was the most spirited boss to have (celebration requirements were extensive...)! Warm hugs and best of wishes to the whole clan of impressive and talented family members he has gifted the world with. Fare thee well, Don. ❣

I have many wonderful memories of Don. He was such a character, always interesting and a lovely man. I had no idea of all the amazing things he did in his life but I am not surprised. His family loved him dearly and I am grateful for the time they were able to spend with him. God bless you Don.

What an accomplished man, father, & citizen. We all need more people like Donald. To the entire Kahn family my condolences. Stephanie Allen & family
