Donald KELLY

Dr. Kelley was my first professor and first physics professor when I began to major in physics in 1963. I learned much from him that I have used in my career teaching physics. I have often recounted my first class at Miami at 8:00 am with Dr. Kelley. After getting our 40 names on a sheet of paper, he gave us a brief quiz. While taking the quiz he memorized all of our names! He never forgot my name and I was pleased to have him for more classes. I have thought of him and the other physics...

My deepest sympathies to the Kelly family. I had the privilege of having Dr. Kelly as a professor at Miami in the early 1980´s. His easy teaching style, positive outlook, and classroom humor made an impression that has lasted throughout my career. I still have the signed textbook from that class! There are few within our collecting community that worked as hard as Don to promote knowledge and invest in the next generation. It was true pleasure to have known him. It is an honor to carry on his legacy in my everyday work. Thank you for everything, Don.

We are so very sorry to hear of your tremendous loss, you all are in our thoughts and Prayers. Don was such wonderful person he loved to laugh and give me a hard time over the years and such a giving person he will be sorely missed . The passing of Don Kelly leaves a void in the world of U.S. currency that will never be filled. His friendship as one of my dealer colleagues was always valued, and he will be sorely missed. Rest In Peace, Don.

Don was a true professional and a gentleman. His love of paper money was truly inspirational. He never stopped spreading the word and offering wonderful pieces to the collecting world. May he rest in peace!
