Not sure what to say?

Valarie, We will miss Donald's bright face, his humor and grace. Know our thoughts and prayers are with you and the rest of his family. He lives on in the many lives and places that you and he have touched here.

Valerie,

So shocked and sorry to hear of Don's tragic death. Delmer Dunn was so good to notify me immediately on hearing of it. Don was a great soul to have as a roommate our Junior year at Yale with Mike Carr and the late Morgan Brown. His personality was so winsome. The fall of our Junior year, the Yale football team had NINE(9!)football games in a row at home before traveling to Cambridge for its final game against Harvard. Dear Valerie & Family, I am very sad to hear the news of Donald. He was an awsome man and a great friend. I really enjoyed working with him and he will be greatly missed!

Condolences and sympathies to the family from Don's classmates in the Yale Class of 1962.

Bob Oliver

Dear Valerie,
I am saddened and still by the loss of Donald. I wish to express my deepest condolences to you and all of his family & friends. He was a good friend and a kind soul. I will miss his smile and energy. Donald was a great champion of the health and well-being of not only the music and art community, but the world as a whole. He has built a great foundation of hope and caring for all of us to build upon. His work will continue through his example.

Valerie and all of Don's family,

We are very sorry for your loss and are thinking you and your family at this time.

John Gerlach's family noticed Don's obit in the paper and notified him--and he me, etc.

Bob Oliver is our class chronicler (if there is such a word) and might want to contact you as he drafts the notice for Yale.

Do you have any problem with this?

Should you want to contact Bob directly, I have his e-mail. (And I'm sure his data is in the Directory.)

I'm sure you know Don stopped by to visit when he was wrapping Nancie's affairs up.

It was nice to catch...
