Don was the middle child and I the youngest. He helped me so much in my life that I'm not surprised he was remembered so fondly by the young men who worked for him. You didn't get something for nothing. But when you did the right thing, he always rewarded you in some way. He teased us sisters unmercifully when we were young, but certainly made up for it in later years. He was smart, hard-working and loved to have fun. I miss him a lot.

Dear Lunny family, I worked for Don in the mid to late sixties. Don gave me my first car a 62 Ford. He also sent me on my first solo drive in one of his trucks. I have many fine memories of Don and family even after all these years. Many things said and done by Don are still with me today. Even though he fired me twice I had the utmost respect for him. I would have enjoyed meeting and speaking to him one more time.

I worked for Don for a number of years during the 1960's and 70's while in my late teens and early 20's. He was easily the finest individual I have ever worked for and to this day, he is the gold standard by which I compare all others. His combination of intelligence, fairness, wisdom and skills remain unmatched. He was a fine man and I think of him often in my work as an aircraft restoration specialist with NASM. There is too little space here to list all the positive influences he had on...
