My condolences to my cousins. I met him once about 11 years ago and enjoyed listening to Don and my late Uncle John chat. Quite the gift for writing.

I am just reading the obituary of this wonderful man. I am sorry I never had the pleasure of meeting him. May the memories he has left behind be a comfort to this family. He certainly lived a life of contribution to our society. Many blessings.

Don was a warm and wonderful colleague for many years at the Boston Globe. I so admired his insight, humor and wisdom. He retired shortly before I left the Globe. When I asked him for advice on my pending retirement, he told me, "Every day is Saturday." He was such a beautiful upbeat person. Just the best guy imaginable.
