Not sure what to say?

Very sad to read of the passing of a most amazingly kind and compassionate pastor and person. Being pastored by him was a blessing that made me a better person.

To Don & Grace's children and extended family - thank you for giving us the gift of being able to gather and remember Don (and Grace!) today. And it was especially sweet to see the likeness of our beloved friend, and hear some of his speech mannerisms, in you, his children. Thank you for carrying on his & Grace's legacy of love.

Reverend Matthews was an important person in my life. He was an eloquent man in addition to being very kind and gentle to me and the rest of his Church members. He was the Minister who married Doug and me 42 years ago. Deepest Sympathies to his wife, Grace. I will miss him.

Thank you for the service back in 1979. You made it easier for us. Now, tell them up there that there are only two kinds of people in this world... those who are Presbyterian and those who want to be!

Will remember is voice for the rest of my life, sorry to hear of his passing... it will be 37 years tomorrow when he married my wife and I, RIP Rev Mathews....

So sorry to hear about Don. Myself and all of my family knew and loved him, he was so kind and caring. He helped me during a difficult time in my and I am so grateful for that. Rest in peace Rev. Matthews you will surely be missed. Kay Duram

Don will always have a special place in my heart. I have worked several DeColores weekend tbat he was a spiritual director on. I always loved his talks. He was so calming to listen to and had wonderful mssages. I especialky loved his "Grace" talks that he always added something about his wife Grace. You knew just how much he loved her. I will miss Don so much. DeColores won't be the same without his presence. Heaven certainly gained a wonderful angel.

What a warm, charming man! My association was brief, but Don always had a warm greeting and wonderful smile! He had touched many lives for the better!
