Not sure what to say?

I send belated condolences as a former pediatric patient of Dr McCaddon. When I had several serious bouts of pneumonia as a child and had to be hospitalized (and put under an oxygen tent), my mother woke up one morning to find Dr McCaddon making me giggle at a time when I did not laugh or smile often. My prayers and well wishes continue.

I would like to thank each and every one of ya'll for sharing your stories about my Dad with me. I will keep them in my heart forever. He will be terribly missed by me. Your stories have been a great comfort to me. Thank you all.

With fond memories from Greenville High School days, Patty Pehl Davis

Dr. McCaddon was my pediatrician and father to my sweet friend, Alex. He had a kind, gentle way about him. Alex, I'll keep you in my prayers. Love and hugs to you and your family.

We always called him "smiles" perfect for a Doctor. I wish we could have kept in touch but I'll see him in the big reunion in heaven.

There are some people from your past whose images are indeliable in your mind. Miles is one of those. His character made it so.
The statement about his being quite the dresser made my most clear memory of him ring true. One morning in the halls of GHS he stopped me to comment on how he really liked the shoes I was wearing. I remember that and the shoes very well as the shoes were very different from the norm[ kind of light brown fringed loafers with a high heel].
So very sorry that...

Miles was a friend of mine in Greenville, Mississippi. I have little memory of our meeting, it just seems like we knew each other forever. As youngsters we were both fascinated by what I guess you would call "electronics", though that is entirely too fancy a name. It was closer to "mechanics", as in the time we repaired a wire recorder and took turns marveling at the sound of our voices. When we slept over, we listened over my short wave radio to "ham" radio guys in Australia or Europe....

I'm so sorry that we never got to know Miles as an adult. He was such a fun member of our High School class as well as being so intelligent and caring. Our memories are special. We all share in your loss of this wonderful Dr., father, and friend.

I knew Miles in Greenville MS when he was in high school. We lived in the same neighborhood and although he was a year ahead of me in school, we were friends. I knew both his parents and sister Martha well and spent many hours in and around their home. Miles was a funny guy.
He once was talking to me wondering why some of the girls liked other boys better than him....he would say, "What do they have that I don't have?"....we would joke with him and tell him it was not what you had,...
