I knew Donald and saw him several times a year when he would visit my sister-in-law Judith. He was quick to laugh, always friendly and welcoming, and good natured.

I met Don at Camp Lejuene in spring of 1975. He was working in the chow hall while I was attending Field Medical school as a Navy Corpsman. We got talking and he said he was from Liverpool and I grew up in Central Square. I remember he was a kind and friendly soul. RIP brother. Semper Fi. "Doc" Ladd
