Ann, Donna and I grieve with you as we owe you guys so much, our life together. We have so many memories. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.

I enjoyed meeting Don and Ann several years ago and seeing them at many of the Cartersville High School reunions (1953) with my late husband, Ronald Cox, who was also a member of CHS class of 53. Don was always very interesting and entertaining, with his life stories-especially when they talked of their past school days. It's hard to let go of these guys, but we will always have wonderful memories. My sympathy to Ann and family.

Don was a great friend at Stockham Valves. We were attempting to bring good management practices to Stockham at the time and I always enjoyed our lively conversations. His sense of humor was amazing. He became a personal friend and we had many good times with Don and Ann. May he Rest In Peace.

Don is someone who will remain in my heart forever. He and Ann became very much a part of my family and I will miss his “ colorful” humor. No matter what he could make me laugh and I will never forget how generous with his friendship he could be . Don and Ann have made me a better person and I will be forever grateful.

Don was my guide, mentor and boss for many years when I first entered the management ranks. Several of his thought provoking sayings stayed with me throughout my career and life. The most meaningful one to me was "Things that are important are rarely urgent and things that are urgent are rarely important". It was his way of saying that you need to spend most of your effort working on important things and don't get so distracted by the daily urgent fires. I have often quoted him on that one...

Don was an amazingly talented, accomplished and respected man. We have very special and warm memories of sitting on his and Ann's mountain porch in the evenings and hearing of their life's adventures! God blessed us all with his being and we are so fortunate for his and Ann's friendship.
