Not sure what to say?

I took a reading and conference class with Dr. Morris when I was in graduate school and found it so enjoyable. He was so kind to a student who had a lot to learn. I remember him very fondly.

Dear Evelyn and family: I have memories of many years ago when the "anthro dept." was smaller but still turning out many good graduates. Don certainly was mentor for many of those outstanding students. Maybe somewhere he and Ed are discussing the latest news in archaeology. My thoughts and prayers to you and yours. Audrey Dittert

Dr. Morris was a great teacher and wonderful mentor. He will be remembered with great fondness.

Dr. Morris was an inspiration to me with his gentle encouragement and supportive words of advice. He gave me one of my most cherished possessions - a book on the Anatomy of the Gorilla from the early 1900's. I will forever remember him as a kind and gentle soul, may he Rest in Peace. My thought go out to his family.

Dr. Morris was always a supportive graduate advisor and a great teacher. He was one of my favorite teachers at ASU because when you asked him a question he would honestly state that he did not know the answer. May he be at peace.

A great teacher and good man. I try my best to be as thoughtful with my students.

He was my first advisor at ASU,and his guidance and encouragement were (and still are) much appreciated.

Don sat quietly during my dissertation defense. As the question and answer period was winding down, Don looked up and asked a quiet, simple question. It's the only one I remember and the only one I couldn't answer. He was a true gentleman and scholar. He will be greatly missed.

What a great guy. Wonderful, very dry, sense of humor. Excellent committee member who helped all of the others get along! I still have a group photo in my office of him, Chuck Merbs, myself, and Christy Turner on the day I graduated from ASU. I will miss him a lot.
