Read MoreI worked for Don back in 1975/76 when he was a Traffic Division Sergeant and I was a rookie Traffic Officer on KPD. He let us do our jobs but was there to support us when we needed it. What a great guy!! I know he is being missed by family and friends.

I am saddened to learn of Don's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends as we rejoice in the knowledge that Don has joined our Lord. I worked with Don at KDPS and there was no kinder man. In recent times, I enjoyed reading his spiritual posts on FaceBook. Don, you will be missed and thank you for being a part of my life.

My sincere condolences to the family. I first met Don when i joined the Kalamazoo Police Department. Don was a mild mannered man who was very helpful to new recruits.
