After 10 years, the void in our hearts is just as pervasive as it was the day we learned of his passing. We cling to posts such as yours for some meaningful comfort as we wonder what kind of person Donny would be today had he lived. Our deepest gratitude to you for your sentiment and your active remembrance of him.

While attending Mercyhurst a friend of mine often spoke fondly of your son. I did not personally know him but his name and sacrifice have a permanent place in my memory. I was showing my class the Washington Post “Faces of the Fallen” Veterans Memorial site today during class…I always click on his picture and story first.
