Donald P. Petarra

I saw that my father Steve Petarra Jr Donald´s older brother was omitted from the obituary. He died in 1992.

I wanted to correct my previous message. Steve Petarra jr passed in 1992.

We were neighbors and close friends with Don and Louise for 25 years. We enjoyed one another's company in so many activities and events. Of special note, and at the top of the list are the hundreds of square and round dances we shared together. Don introduced Ed to tennis when they first met. Another Waterside neighbor in heaven. Don and Louise are greatly missed. We spent many days playing Bridge with Louise in their sunroom, with Don making us flavored papcorn.

My Condolences to the Petarra Family. I worked for Don in the testing department at GE Lighting Nela Park. He was one of the best managers that I had the pleasure to work for. I really enjoyed working for him and he was a true gentleman and a great mentor to me. I remember him saying he never really celebrated things like Valentines or Sweetest Days, as he treated everyone special every day. I think of him often. May he rest in peace.
