I knew Blackie long before I got on the job. I remember well when he worked with Joe Stih. Blackie was always teasing Joe, who was older, about being deaf and blind. Joe always used reading glasses. Blackie was my dad´s partner in Cleveland 6th district in 70´s. Was a real nice guy. May he rest in eternal peace.
