Not sure what to say?

How saddened I was to receive the news of Fr. Don's death. From memories of him baptizing Morgan to officiating at Rocky and Kathy's wedding in Birmingham, our lives felt his presence so often.
May he be resting in the peace of the Lord and, perhaps, sharing a cigar with Gordon.

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. Father Don was one of my oldest and dearest friends from our St. Mary of Celle days. His last letter to me sounded as if he was truly happy to be retired and busy as ever. I will truly miss him and he will stay in my prayers, the same as he always did for me.

Dear Marilyn,
I share your loss of our brother Don. We served Mass together at SMC, took a summer typing course at St Phillip's one year, spent time together at GH in the early 90's. I remember also singing at Don's first Mass & attending his ordination. Be assured of my ongoing prayers for you.
With love,
Erik Vagenius

To the Family of Fr. Don:

My thoughts and prayers go out to you during this very sad time. Fr. Don brought me back to the Catholic Church, and for this I am eternally grateful.

Marilyn & Family

Please accept our sympathy to you and your family. I have fond memories of Fr. Don. He had such a good sense of humor and we were so proud of him being in the priesthood. He will always be in our hearts and in our prayers. I wish my children had known him. They would have loved him. We have been blessed just knowing him.
God bless you and your family.

Love
Arlene & John

Thank you to Fr. Don for being someone to look up to. You put great effort into our parish. I am grateful to have work with you on so many projects.

We are quite saddened to learn of Fr. Don's passing as he blessed our family with many wonderful memories.
From his "subtle" encouragement to join my father as a lector at St. Peter's to his compassion and real caring for our family as we watched my mother battle cancer he was, indeed, a blessing.
Over the next few years he observed and encouraged the growing bond between Sarah & I (more "subtle" prodding for me to maybe consider, gasp, marriage?!) that resulted in our wonderful...

My eternal gratitude for the important part that Father Pock played in my family's life. The beautiful funeral service for my wife Ramona Jean; the marriage of my son Tom to Sarah; the baptism of their son, and my first grandchild, Alexander Robert.
As well as the dedicated years of service to St. Peter's the Apostle Church, Itasca, Il. God Bless you and may you now rest in peace.

Dear Marilyn & family,

Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Father Don...he will always be in my prayers.
