POLMATIER, Donald K. “Pal” – Of Flint, age 89, died Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Maple Place.
Funeral service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, with visitation following the service until 8 p.m.
Military Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Evergreen Cemetery under the auspices of VFW Chevrolet Motor Post #3087.
Those desiring may make contributions to The Salvation Army.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Donald was born in Newberry, Michigan on March 30, 1930, the son of the late Charles and Jennie Polmatier, and was a resident of Flint since 1955.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was a member of UAW Locals 659 and 1292.
Mr. Polmatier was employed by General Motors at Fisher Body Grand Blanc for 30 1/2 years, retiring in 1985.
Surviving are sister, Dorothy Brown;
sister-in-law, Lois Polmatier of Flint;
many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles, Jr.; sister, Gertrude Deering; two half-brothers, Elcid and Raymond Garant; niece, Irma J. Hanson.
