I am so sorry I miss Don's passing. It is wonderful that he cherished his family so much. I will never forget the time my Mother choose to get sick during season and Don, as the President of the Williamsburg Hotel/Motel Association, insisted that I leave her and return to the critically important job of making reservation or be fired. As a result, I wasn't able to be with her when she died. I will always remember Don for that. Always...

I have always so admired Mr. Pons as a fine man, great family man and such fantastic friend to our family when and after his good friend my father died at age 38. Mr. Pons´ wonderful sense of humor and his being so adventurous on outings for instance in the motorboat - his family racing ours in our smaller less powerful motorboat all in/around Queens creek and the York river later inspired me to take a chance on serving in the Army as I knew he had.
