In the obit you mention Don and Marion being celebrities at local restaurants. I recall running into them at Del Rio in Highwood. They went there for dinner after the 5 P.M. Dear Potter Family,
I was in Indianapolis visiting my father, Joe Quill (Cathedral H.S. '39, Notre Dame '47, '48), when I read about Don's passing in the Indianapolis Star. Don and my dad played basketball together at Cathedral and also were friends with Herb Melton who was in the law school with my dad and was the fencing coach at ND. Donald Potter's legacy will live on for generations through the children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren who mattered deeply to him. He made a meaningful difference during his life and will always be looked at as a man who loved his family and lived well. The spirit he infused into 250 Franklin Road remains.
