Donald Reynolds grew up in Fairfax, Alabama earning the rank of Eagle in the American Boy Scouts at the age of 12. The son of the only pharmacist and shop owner in town, Don enjoyed fist-fulls of candy and cold coca colas for himself and his friends. He ran the projector at the local movie theatre as a teen ager and loved to tinker with anything mechanical. In high school, Don was a lineman for the varsity football team. He was affectionately nick named "Bouncy" for his ability to dodge a tackle because other players would simply "bounce" off of him. Don graduated from Auburn University in 1959 as a Sigma Chi fraternity brother with a bachelor's degree in education. In 1960, Don met and wed the love of his life, Judy Marie Kelley. Don said, "She was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen." Married happily for 55 years, they lived the last 34 of those years in their lovely home in Highland Village, Texas prior to Judy's passing in 2017. After working as a teacher, Don was hired by the JCPenney Corporation and relocated his family to New Jersey. In 1988, he moved his family to Highland Village, Texas to continue his career with Penny's. Don retired at the age of 60 from JCPenney's Corporate Headquarters in Plano, Texas after a 29 year career in appliance repair and later computer technology. Don also served in the National Guard as a Captain during the 1970s.
