Not sure what to say?

I just now found out about his passing. Dr Rhinehart operated on my lower back in 1984 while I was attending Oklahoma Christian University. He was awesome in every way. He even returned my call when I was living in West Virginia several years later to help me pick another doctor. I appreciated him so much and the work he did. Rest in peace!

I have worked at the Oklahoma Blood Institute for sixteen years. Dr Rhinehart always made time to stop by my desk and say hello, many times with a story. I was comfortable talking with him. He had a zest for life few have and has left a huge void in the upside down world. He will be missed. I will never forget him.

It was my good fortune that Dr.
Ronald J. Sutor referred me to Dr.
Rhinehart, in 2003. I found Dr. Rhinehart to be one of the most caring doctors of my lifetime. The world was a better place, because of him. He will be greatly missed by many.

My wife and I extend our deepest sympathy to his family.

Sincerely,
Arlyn D. & Nadine Bauer

I have served on the OU Medical School Board of Admission with Dr. Rhinehart for five years. He was also one of my teachers when I was in medical school (1970-74). I have always found him to be very professional, caring, honest and through in his dealings with other physicians and non-physicians. He will be sorely missed, but never forgotten at the OU Health Sciences Center, Oklahoma City.

I wish to express my deepest thoughts to the family of Dr. Don Rhinehart. Don and his family lived next door to my family during the early 60's while he was doing his final residency at St. Anthony Hospital. My mother, Carlene Dewey, was dying of cancer during this time in 1960-1961. Dr. Rhinehart, as a neighbor, friend and Doctor, spent invaluable time with my father, J.C. Dewey, and my sister Kay, and myself during this time. He was an extraordinary man who displayed to me and my family...

The Robert M. Bird Health Sciences Library will fondly remember Dr. Rhinehart and everything that he did for the Library. He will be missed and our best wishes go out to his family.

As chairman of Neurosurgery at OUHSC I appreciated over the years Don's support and his major contributions to the teaching program. His expertise in his field and his humanity was an inspiration to all who knew him. We should celebrate a worthy and productive life. Pax et Deus vobiscum.

Dear Melba and family. You are very much in our prayers. Don, was an example of goodness and leadership we will never forget. We send our love, Germaine and Rowland Clarkson

Dr. Rhinehart saved my life 35 years ago. May he rest in perfect peace.
