Not sure what to say?

Don was a dear and loving friend! My love to the family!

I always enjoyed Don's wonderful food. He knew how to do things "right". He catered my daughter's wedding, and it was perfect. A pleasure to work with him. He came all the way to Bamberg to do a luncheon for the Simms Society at Woodlands Plantation. I thought he would stay overnight on the Edisto. But he had taken on a job for a party in Greenville. That was Don, always making time for his clients and friends. Very special. He will be greatly missed by many.

Very sorry to learn of Don's untimely passing....sorry i hadn't seen more of him in recent years, as we were related....RIP

I am so saddened to hear of Don's passing, but glad he is at rest with Jesus. He worked hard and was a very kind and funny man. We enjoyed our "friendly competitor" relationship in the catering business over the years. When my father died, he was the first person to arrive with his yummy finger sandwiches. He loved his mother and his nephew so much, and was so proud of them. I will never forget him. He was a man i truly respected and was so fond of. I will miss him.

Don was a very special man and I considered him a fiend- he catered my daughter's wedding reception 11 years ago, and when I saw him at the YMCA dinner a few weeks ago, he made a point to mention this and that meant so much. He always made a point to speak to me when I saw him at many different functions over the years. His
kindness and smile will be sorely missed. My prayers for the family.

I am so sorry to hear of Don's passing. We became fast friends when we joined the Denmark-Olar Band. I last saw him at the River. He was a gentle soul. He will be missed by many.
Thoughts and prayers for the family.

Don was a wonderful friend to us and so many others. He was thoughtful and generous and a joy to be around. His cooking was so delicious and helped me get through many dinners for friends and family. I will miss just running into him at parties and at the grocery store and just around town.

We are deeply saddened to hear today of Don's death. I was his long time neighbor and old friend whose lives intertwined in several fields of common interest. He was always a joy and fountain of enthusiasm to be around. He was wonderful to his mother with whom I visited too in the haven he created to aid her in her later years. It is hard to imagine he is not around as we even ran into him not long ago in Charleston before my own father died and he joined us for a memorable dinner. He was...
