Read MoreI first met Don 30 years ago at a Bloomingdale Cornet Band rehearsal. He was a true gentlemen. He treated everyone with kindness and respect. I never heard him say anything negative about anyone. Perhaps what I'll remember most about Don was summed up by a fellow musician many years ago. He said, "If you can't get along with Don, then you have a problem."
