Donald Edison Roy, age 83, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021. Beloved husband of Janice Martin Roy and by the first marriage to the late Florence Broussard Roy. Father of Donna Terry (Mike), Elaine Bourgeois (Gary), Barry Roy (Wende), the late Phillip Roy and Steven Roy. Son of the late Edais Roy and Beula Moore Roy. Brother of Harry Gene Roy, Diane Roy Trahan, the late Charles Roy and Sadie Roy Dubuc. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. A native of Mermantau, La., and a resident of Slidell for over 50 years. He was the owner of Roy Bingo Supplies and was a retired employee of Frey Meat Company. He was a fomer member and president of the St. Bernard Parish Jaycees. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and loved classic cars.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA., on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 12:00 O’clock Noon.
Interment in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.
Visitation on Saturday after 10:00 A.M. until funeral time.
