Donald R. Ruiz

Sorry to hear of your passing. I remember Don from high school and a few meet ups in the 90's. Don had an infectious sense of humor and was a joy to be around. Condolences to the Ruiz family.

Saddened to hear of the passing of Don - I knew him from our High School years. During that time Don was one of those guys that was just naturally funny and although I have not seen Don since the early 1980s, I know that he will be missed by everyone of us who knew him.

To the Family of Don,
He was a great Umpire. When we would go to our games and as soon as we saw him we were all like "YES" we love him, he's our favorite. He interacted with the coaches, players and the families of the players in such a way that will never be duplicated. He always has some kind of candy with him. Please know that the family is in our thoughts and prayers during your difficult time.

Don was such an amazing person!! He would always come into my store and tell me jokes. Talk about his sisters and tell me about his umpiring and how he was the only man allowed to give girls candy and he was so proud to umpire!! A lot of us will never forget his presence. T
