My parents, Ed and Aluce Olsen went through time knowing Don, from Gus and Noreen's wedding on. I can still picture the socializing at one of the epic Perscheid parties, in San Mateo, then Walnut Creek. I am so sorry for your loss!

Dr Scherba & family...so sorry for your loss. Though I never met him, Donald seemed like a wonderful man, husband, and father.

Don was our life long friend - from Balboa Hi, Cal, guest at our wedding 63 years ago, first guest at our home when we were newly married. We shared our children growing up, fun at the Elks Club, Christmas celebrations, our love of Cal football, our loyalty to Bal, visits to Springfield and, in later years long phone conversations punctuated with much laughter - our lives for over 70 years. We will miss him so much. He was a true gentleman - the greatest generation personified.

My condolences to the family. My father, Chris Palmer, who passed in 2003, worked for the Millbrae store from 1964-67ish. I will always remember him in short sleeved white starched dress shirts with black tie and slacks :) Going to Shaw's after my mom and I picked him up when he closed up shop. Smiling and full of pride.

Thank you for hiring a fresh faced veteran with engineering aspirations. He always provided for his family and lived to travel the world.
