Read MoreI remember Don with such affection and respect. Always kind and patient, in my experience, so much fun, and with such an encyclopedic knowledge of jazz! Anytime I brought by jazz CD´d, he could always identify the individual players just by listening. Most of all, I remember how much he loved K, and the love and caring she returned. My thanks to them both for the gift of their friendship.

Don was a delight to be around. His kindness, decency, and killer knowledge of jazz were all remarkable. I remember him picking out individual players in new jazz CD's I'd share with him, unerringly. He had a wonderful sense of fun, and it was clear that he worshipped the ground K stood on.
