Don worked with my dad and our families became quite close. We used to vacation with the Shamps and considered Don to be our Dad #2. He had such a great laugh and always made time for all of us kids. My fondest memory is of body surfing with Don at the beach. He had a beaming smile whenever he came up from a good wave.

I worked primarily in Laurinburg NC but I worked with Don on other projects in the toledo and in California and Laurinburg knew him 30 years as Mark Roth has stated we worked hard and played hard we nick named the Food Lion grocery store the Beer Lion.he was one great guy to work with.
